My head is still buzzing from the excitement of yesterday's meetup. For once, I felt like the group was its own ecosystem, with multiple brilliant energies coming together to think and reflect. I felt deeply touched, not only by all the amazing propositions of various forms and natures that I witnessed, but also by the honest and endearing connection I shared with many of you. I don't know if it is that act of sharing, in which we all took part, that opened up the hearts of all the interesting people I've talked to yesterday. Perhaps it was also the room, defying all rules of "academic propriety", that helped provide new ways of connecting. In any case, I feel thankful for everything I learned yesterday, and am hopeful for all the learning to be had in this second half of the semester. Perhaps this newly cemented group connection will fuel even more exchanges along the road. For me, at least, it dismantled a lot of my shyness. You are all interesting and wonderful, thank you!

Thank you for these words which bring tears to my eyes, Lea! I felt it too - what a richness! Let's remember that if you can have a final-in-the-middle you can also have a term-without-time.
ReplyDeleteAnd you won't believe what we did to the room after all of you left!!! We ordered sushi in around 9 because we just couldn't stop! Looking forward to seeing all of you soon, and thanks for the video, Lea - I am delighting in her music.
Lea - Thank you for this beautiful message. I felt it too, so strongly. The energy in the room felt powerful, transformative. It was so wonderful to be there as a listner, being in a position to receive all that each of you gave, and gifted us, was quite a prvilige and I feel grateful for having been there for that. I am excited for this week's session.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lea. There's more to what you're saying, and I already hear it. It's a beautiful sound.
