reading around the lines

I have been thinking about alternative ways of reading/experiencing written words since reading Fred Moten’s ‘In the Break.’ Through this I have been playing around with trying to typographically visualize what is in excess of the form, of the letters of the word, and how experimenting in this area might lead to a different way of reading or experiencing text. 


Above is one of the experiments from this line of inquiry, and linked below is a rough workbook through this process.
