Highlife is the most pop form, but just one of many stylings... and is a bit more 'the music people need' (in daily life), rather then music that reflects the times - but there is a dense and diverse history of music traditions across many tribes/regions there. They also have a rich music/dance tradition around funerals (as a celebration of mourning) ...
