We will read out loud "Interview with an Empire" by M. NourbeSe Philip (now in your dropbox), and then show some film clips by Kamal Aljafari
And if we have time we'll also read parts of Nathaniel MacKey's From a Broken Bottle... (Fred's text gave us a hint of its beautiful perfume)
...And listen to Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians
Amiri Baraka's text is optional, but it's short and it illuminates some of the stuff we talked about in class.
